The New York Yankees signed right-hander Scott Baker to a minor league deal, according to reports Friday.
Baker has struggled to regain his form after missing the 2012 season following Tommy John elbow surgery. He was 3-4 with a 5.47 ERA over 80 2/3 innings for the Texas Rangers last season.
Prior to the elbow injury, Baker pitched for the Minnesota Twins, going 55-37 with a 3.98 ERA in 821 innings from 2007-2011.
