Slugger Michael Morse signed a two-year deal with the Miami Marlins worth $8 million including incentives.
Morse, who is from Broward County, is projected as a first baseman with the Marlins. The team is set at the outfield positions with Giancarlo Stanton, Christian Yelich and Marcell Ozuna.
Morse spent last season with the San Francisco Giants and batted .300 in the postseason, mostly as a pinch-hitter.
Morse hit .279 with 16 homers and 61 RBIs in 131 games.
