Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Brian Wilson has informed the team that he will exercise his $9.5 million player option for the 2015 season, according to reports Wednesday.

Wilson, 32, struggled in his second season with the Dodgers. He was 2-4 with a 4.66 ERA, 54 strikeouts and 29 walks in 48 1/3 innings.

The former San Francisco Giants right-handed closer joined the Dodgers in July 2013 and had a 0.66 ERA in 18 games with the team last season.

Wilson made just one appearance during the National League Division Series against the St. Louis Cardinals. He gave up one hit and one walk while recording one out in the Dodgers’ Game 3 loss.
