Alberto Callaspo could be traded from the Atlanta Braves to the Los Angeles Dodgers for infielder Juan Uribe, but Callaspo’s approval is required for the deal to be completed before June 15.
According to multiple reports, Callaspo was told he was on the block when he was a late scratch from Monday’s lineup. The former Los Angeles Angels utility man is batting .206 with eight RBI in 107 at-bats this season.
Uribe is in a logjam infield with Alex Guerrero and Justin Turner. He’s batting .247 in 81 at-bats.
Multiple minor-league players would be included in the swap if approved.
