Arizona Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale and three others from his team were ejected from an exhibition game with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday.

Also booted were Arizona bench coach Glenn Sherlock and pitchers Allen Webster and Derek Eitel, who both hit batters.

The game started to get out of hand when Dodgers pitcher Chris Anderson hit Mark Trumbo with a pitch and was high and close to Aaron Hill with several pitches.

Dodgers infielder Justin Turner was hit by two pitches — the second by Webster, who was ejected.

“Their guys were getting (mad) and yelling when Anderson was missing up and in,” Turner said, according to ESPN Los Angeles. “They were like, ‘Come on. Let’s go. That’s too many pitches up and in.’ You can’t really say anything when your guy doesn’t know where it’s going either.”

Eitel was forced to leave after he hit minor-leaguer Dillon Moyer.

“Whatever they want to say, I know our kid wasn’t trying to hit Trumbo and I know he threw a couple balls up to Hill, but I know nothing intentional was going on,” Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said. “I don’t know whether they took it that way or not, but we’re not going to start that and there’s no reason to start anything like that in spring training.”
