The Cincinnati Reds and catcher Devin Mesoraco reportedly agreed to a four-year, $28 million contract Monday.
The deal, reported by Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com, means the Reds and Mesoraco will avoid arbitration over the next three years and the catcher will be a free agent in 2019.
Mesoraco had filed for $3.6 million in arbitration, and the team had offered $2.45 million.
Mesoraco, 26, was an All-Star in 2014, hitting .273 with 25 home runs and 80 RBIs.
