The Atlanta Braves reportedly are receiving plenty of interest from teams about outfielder Justin Upton and are intent on trading him.

The Houston Astros and Texas Rangers are among the teams that have inquired about Upton, according to the New York Post. The Seattle Mariners, who tried to acquire Upton in 2013, could be an option as well as the Braves appear set to dump salary and rebuild.

Earlier this week, the Braves traded outfielder Jason Heyward to the St. Louis Cardinals in a four-player deal that netted starting pitcher Shelby Miller and minor league pitcher Tyrell Jenkins.

The Braves are seeking even more for Upton because of his power at the plate, the Post reported. Upton hit 29 homers last season.

Upton, 27, is slated to make $14.5 million in 2015 in the final year of his contract.
