The Atlanta Braves have been one of the busiest teams in the offseason under new president of baseball operations John Hart, and they reportedly made another move by adding veteran catcher A.J. Pierzynski.

According to CBSSports.com, the Braves have reached agreement with Pierzynski on a deal that will pay him about $2 million in 2015.

The contract will not be finalized until January, but Pierzynski is expected to take a significant cut after earning $8.25 million in 2014, which he split between the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals. Pierzynski, 37, hit .251 with five homers in 102 games overall last season. He became a free agent after the season.

He is expected to be a backup to Christian Bethancourt with the Braves.
