The Buffalo Bills traded wide receiver Stevie Johnson to the San Francisco 49ers for a conditional fourth round draft choice in 2015, according to multiple media reports on Friday.

Johnson became expendable on Thursday night, when the Bills traded up and selected wide receiver Sammy Watkins with the fourth pick in the first round of the NFL draft.

The pick reportedly could become a third-rounder, depending on Johnson’s production in San Francisco.

According to at least one report, Johnson would have to restructure his contract for the deal to work out.

The Bills paid Johnson a $1.5 million roster bonus in March and he has $15.25 million due next three years. Watkins slots to about $19.4 million over four years as the No. 4 overall pick.

The 49ers were looking for another receiving threat to go with Michael Crabtree, Anquan Boldin and Vernon Davis.

Johnson caught 57 passes for 597 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games for Buffalo last season.
