Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte was forced to leave Thursday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers in the third quarter with a right ankle injury.

The team announced he would not return to the game.

Forte carried the ball seven times for 31 yards and caught four passes for 49 yards before the injury. He seemed to twist his ankle when he was tackled by Charles Woodson.

He returned to the bench after receiving medical treatment but soon went back to the locker room.

He was replaced by Michael Bush.

Fantasy Analysis: Keep an eye on Forte’s status. If backup Michael Bush is on the waiver wire, you might want to grab him as a handcuff.
