Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill was granted his release from the school on Friday and now able to transfer to any school in the state.

“(Kenny) is meeting with his family and figuring out what he wants to do,” Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin told 105.3 The Fan in Dallas.

According to reports, Big 12 champion TCU is a strong transfer possibility for Hill.

Hill’s 2014 season went down lightning-fast after his record-setting splash in the season opener.

Hill and the Aggies continued their march through September to start 5-0 and earn a No. 6 national ranking.

Then the bottom fell out for Hill and the Aggies.

Texas A&M lost its next three games, including getting demolished by Alabama 59-0.

By November, Hill was replaced by freshman Kyle Allen, who led the team to wins against Louisiana-Monroe, Auburn and West Virginia to salvage an 8-5 season.

When Allen took over as the starter, Hill was serving a two-game suspension for an undisclosed violation of team rules and athletic department policy. Hill also was suspended for the final part of spring practice in 2014 after an alcohol-related arrest.

Hill passed for 2,649 yards, 23 touchdowns, eight interceptions and a 67 percent completion rate in 2014.

Hill will be forced to sit out the 2015 season if he lands in TCU in accordance with the NCAA’s transfer rule. If he redshirts, while quarterbackTrevone Boykin finishes his career at TCU, Hill could suit up for the Horned Frogs in 2016 with two years of eligibility remaining.
