Mississippi fell from No. 3 to No. 7 in the Associated Press poll Sunday, a day after falling to LSU.

Mississippi State and Florida State held on to the top two spots in the poll. The Bulldogs received 46 of 60 first place votes while the Seminoles got the remaining 14 votes.

The Bulldogs and Seminoles are the only unbeaten teams left among those in the five major conferences.

Alabama, Auburn and Oregon rounded out the top five. Notre Dame was No. 6. The rest of the top 10 were Michigan State, Georgia and TCU.

LSU was the biggest mover in the poll by climbing eight spots to No. 16 after upsetting Ole Miss 10-7.

No. 24 Duke replaced Southern Cal in the poll.

The College Football Playoff selection committee will release its first rankings on Tuesday. The playoff pairings will be announced Dec. 7.
