With so much talent in the SEC, it’s always tough picking an all-conference team. After selecting only two teams for years, Lindy’s added a third-team to the mix in 2012 to recognize more players for their on-field contributions.

Following the first ever 13-0 regular season in its football history, LSU enters the year as Lindy’s preseason favorite to win the conference. Most of that logic is due to what the Tigers return on offense, defense and special teams, but the kicker is that the Tigers host Lindy’s preseason No. 3-ranked Alabama on Nov. 3. Although the teams split last season, LSU has won seven of the last 10 meetings and defeated the Tide 24-21 in Baton Rouge in 2010.

Perhaps no other game in the country will feature more future NFL talent than the LSU/Alabama matchup will. That’s an easy explanation why Lindy’s preseason All-SEC teams are filled with Alabama and LSU stars.  Hey, teams don’t win championships without talent. And the Tide and Tigers are loaded to the brim with it.
