LINDY’S TOP 10 COMEBACK PLAYERS

Don’t forget about these 10 guys, who missed all (or most) of last season:

David Ash, QB, Texas (concussion) — His chance to im- press new coach Charlie Strong was limited by spring foot sur- gery, making the Texas QB position one of the great X-factors in college football.

Andre Debose, WR, Florida (ACL) — He’s been the “Next Percy Harvin” since the Urban Meyer days, but about the only thing the players have shared is a lengthy injury history. Debose, coming off an ACL injury that wiped out his 2013 season, gets a sixth season of eligibility. He has four career kick returns for TDs, but little in the passing game.

Jeff Driskel, QB, Florida (broken leg) — Positive signs in the spring he can handle the offense of new coordinator Kurt Roper, which could be the key to the Gators’ rejuvenation.

George Farmer, WR, USC (knee) — Former big-time recruit has been injury-plagued during his Trojans’ career, including tearing knee ligaments that forced him to miss last season. Looked good in the spring in quest to be No. 2 behind star wideout Nelson Agholor.

Everett Golson, QB, Notre Dame (academics) — Former starter returned from 2013 academic exile to find himself in spring battle with Malik Zaire.

Chaz Green, OT, Florida (torn labrum) — That this is the third Gator on this list tells you a lot about Florida in 2013. He’s back at right tackle and his health will say a lot about the team’s 2014 success.

Austin Hill, WR, Arizona (ACL) — Biletnikoff semifinalist in 2012 suffered his injury late in 2013 spring camp, forcing him to return as a senior in a suddenly deep and dangerous Arizona receiving corps.

Chuckie Keeton, QB, Utah State (knee) — Warm up the #Chuckie4Heisman hashtag because the senior, with 56 career touchdown passes, will be back flinging the ball all over the yard after missing the last half of the 2013 season.

Venric Mark, RB, Northwestern (hamstring, ankle) — Granted a medical hardship for last season, he rushed for 1,366 yards and was an All-American punt returner in 2012.

Malcolm Mitchell, WR, Georgia (ACL) — He made it to the second offensive series of last season before tearing up his knee. Has all-conference-caliber ability when healthy.
