Former Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson, who graduated from Notre Dame on Sunday, delayed announcing Monday where he would transfer. Because he has earned a degree, he will be eligible to play his final season this fall.

Many expected Golson to announce he was transferring to Florida State. Despite saying he wants to visit other schools, the Seminoles remain the favorite to land Golson.

Last week, he visited Florida State, Florida and Georgia. According to ESPN, Alabama, South Carolina, LSU and UCLA also are interested in getting Golson on campus.

In 2012, Golson led the Irish to an undefeated regular season before losing to Alabama in the BCS National Championship game.

He sat out the 2013 season on academic suspension and returned last season.

–Oklahoma Sooners sophomore wide receiver K.J. Young has been dismissed from the team for violating unspecified team rules.

In 2014, Young was fourth on the team with 19 receptions and 225 yards. He started three games and appeared in 12.

–Offensive lineman Darius James intends to transfer to the Auburn Tigers after stating earlier this month that he planned to leave the Texas Longhorns, according to 247Sports.com.

He will need to sit out the 2015 season per NCAA transfer rules and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
