University of Texas suspended offensive tackle Kennedy Estelle was dismissed from team.

Estelle was scheduled to sit out for a third consecutive game this weekend, but instead becomes the ninth player kicked off the team by first-year coach Charlie Strong. Two others remain suspended.

Estelle was dismissed for a new violation of team rules. The junior was reportedly banned because he failed a drug test, according to Longhorn Network.

—University of Tennessee freshman running back Treyvon Paulk was kicked off the team for a “personal conduct issue” head coach Butch Jones said.

The issue was allegedly punching his 18-hear-old ex-girlfriend at a party over the weekend, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, which cites county police reports.

Despite the incident report and witness accounts, the woman is refusing to press charges.

—Former Southern Cal player Brian Bauchman alleges he had 103-degree fever, received a diagnosis of “influenza-like illness, viral pharyngitis and dehydration” and took four liters of IV fluid only to be put on the field two days later for a game against Cal.

Bauchman, a cornerback for the Trojans from 2008 to 2012, collapsed on the field and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

He filed suit against USC, naming former head coach Lane Kiffin as one of the defendants, for violations of the school’s injury-plan guidelines and resulting in cardiopulmonary damage and brain injury, the LA Times reported.

—Honor code hearings for five Notre Dame football players accused of possible academic misconduct will be completed by next week, coach Brian Kelly said Tuesday.

Cornerback KeiVarae Russell, wide receiver DaVaris Daniels, defensive end Ishaq Williams, linebacker Kendall Moore and defensive Back Eilar Hardy have not practiced or played in games since August. Kelly would not comment when asked whether he thinks the players were found guilty of academic misconduct.

—The odds of Jameis Winston winning back-to-back Heisman trophies after his one-game suspension for shouting vulgar language in the Florida State student union last week went down, according to one bookmaker.

Bovada has the Florida State quarterback listed this week as a 20/1 shot to win the Heisman. He started the season as the 9/2 favorite and then went to 15/2 and 10/1 until he was forced to sit out last Saturday night’s overtime victory over Clemson. Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota is now Bovada’s favorite at 2/1, with Texas A&M running back Kenny Hill and Georgia running back Todd Gurley at 10/1.

Meanwhile, Winston’s adviser, David Cornwell, said Tuesday on Twitter that the quarterback will cooperate in the school’s Title IX investigation into an alleged sexual assault that occurred in December 2012 and came to last November.

—Mississippi State senior center Dillon Day was suspended by the Southeastern Conference for stomping on an LSU player during Saturday night’s game in Baton Rouge, La.

The SEC announced the punished on Tuesday. Day will sit out the Bulldogs’ Oct. 4 game at home against Texas A&M.

Day, who started 12 games for Mississippi State last season, missed one game in 2013 after he was suspended for the same reason — stomping on an Auburn player.
