Iowa State receiver Quenton Bundrage’s season lasted all of four plays.

The school announced Monday that the Cyclones’ top receiver from last season tore an ACL in Saturday’s lost to North Dakota State and will miss the rest of this season.

Bundrage led the Cyclones in receiving in 2013 with 676 yards and nine touchdowns.

Head coach Paul Rhoades said Bundrage took the news hard, but implored his team to step up and make up for his star receiver’s loss.

“Time for others to step up,” said Rhoads, whose team travels to Manhattan, Kan., to play Kansas State in the Big 12 season-opener.

The Cyclones now will turn to true freshman wideout Allen Lazard and transfer D’Vario Montgomery.
